New happenings!

It seems to have been a while since I last posted anything, although my records tell me it's only been a week!

A lot has happened in the last week. I've been getting a fair bit of interest in commissions, and sales, so it looks like I may be lining them up for the next few weeks! Get yours in quick if you want one! The stuff on my website is for sale, except where stated otherwise, or I'm happy to discuss commissions. Remember, I also make handmade greetings cards to order.

Also I have been included on a couple more websites. The first sells artwork, greetings cards and all sorts created by LGBT artists. Visit http://www.sinnersaint.co.uk to check it out. They have chosen five of my images, and these will appear for sale soon.

The second is a directory of artists available for all sorts of work including workshops in schools etc. Check it out at http://www.theartsroom.co.uk

More new work and exciting happenings!

There's some new work on the website http://artbytoyah.weebly.com

I am also keen to take on some new commissions so get emailing!

Also, I have been accepted onto two new websites to showcase and promote my artwork:

The first is http://fabartshop.com which will go live in September, and will sell canvasses and prints of a small selection of my work. Keep an eye out for it!

The second is http://fullcirclearts.co.uk which is an online directory of artists, promoting disabled artists and showcasing them. The directory will be used by anyone looking for artists for commissions, job opportunities etc.

Exciting stuff, it's all go!

Wintry Sunset

These can be found on my website http://artbytoyah.weebly.com

or you can buy prints or greetings cards of them at redbubble.com (search for angelicdevil)

You can also visit my website for commissions and a full gallery of all of my other work :o)

New work on the go

I'm addicted to using Derwent Inktense and watercolour paper at the minute. I've been doing a lot of portraits of famous lesbians, feminists, and all round strong, independent women. I'll be continuing this series of work until I feel I've done all I can with it.

I'm also taking a rest from the enormous self-portrait - 'After Frida' - that I was working on. This will be taken up again whenever I am feeling it again.

I'm hoping to start a series of portraits - as yet untitled - that will depict people on the outskirts of the mainstream. I'll be looking at queer communities, alternative communities (punks, goths etc), the BDSM community and possibly the disabled community. If anyone would like to volunteer to be painted/drawn, or knows anyone who would, let me know! I'm always looking for interesting muses!

Upcoming exhibitions!!!

I currently have a painting in an exhibition in Worcester! My painting 'Metropolis' is featured in the Worcester Open exhibition. The exhibition finishes tomorrow, so hurry if you want to go along and check it out! There are loads of fantastic artists in the show so it's guaranteed to be worth a visit.

Also coming soon, I have four paintings in the Great Sheffield Art Show, which runs between the 8th and 11th July at the Octagon Centre, which is part of the University of Sheffield. Check out my website http://artbytoyah.weebly.com/ for a link to the exhibition's homepage, plus images of the work I had accepted.

In May 2011, I will be putting a selection of my work on the walls of Taurus bar on Canal St, Manchester. Watch this space or visit my website for updates and more info!
